Crowned as Mazhar, Al Mazhar High School for Girls is the first school exclusively for girls in Nintavur. It is the third school in Nintavur. It was initially run by Roman Catholic Missionaries and was taken over by the Government on 19.07.1928.

Today's Az Saba Vidyalaya was a girls' school then. In the year 1928, on the 19th day of Adithingal, educational work was started in a thatched hut measuring 30*20 in the school premises under the name of 'Nintavur Government Muslim Girls' School'.

  • 01.10.1928 Mrs. Meshi Ratnam accepted the post and established it as a school up to 3rd standard.
  • On 01.10.1940 Mrs. Mahizamma Krishnanandam became the Principal.
  • 4th grade was started in 1943.
  •  5th grade was started in 1944.
  • Sri Lanka's first Muslim Girls Maha Vidyalaya.
  • In 1950 students failed the SSC examination for the first time.
  • It was given the status of Sirestabad School in 1951 and Girls' Maha Vidyalaya on 01.01.1959 based on the SSC examination.
  • On 01.03.1959 Mrs. A. Seinulapdeen was appointed as Vice-Chancellor and continued to serve as Principal.
  • A/L classes were started on 15.06.1987. Miss.A.NoorulHidhaya and Miss.AS.Sameena passed the high standard examination in 1989 and went to art college.
  •  On 10.03.1989, the name of Girls' Maha Vidyalaya was changed to Kamu Almashar Girls' High School.
  • In 1991 Z. Unaisa was awarded by the President for best results in A/L.
  • On 25.08.1992; Mrs. M. Cheinulapteen retired.
  • In 1992, 30 students passed the A/L examination and 3 students went to university.
  •  Marhu and MS on 25.08.1992. Hamid became the president.
  • In the 1992 G.B.D (U/T) examination, 4 students from Ninvoor went to the College of Education for the first time. On 01.06.1994, Marhu M I. Aliyar assumed office as Principal.
  • In 1994, for the first time in the history of Nindavur Kal V, a student of this school was AM. Hu Baira Begum obtained distinction in all 08 subjects in the G.B.D.
  • In 1998, our school team won the title of North East Provincial Champion in the Tamil Language Day Debating Competition.  In 2002, Marhu and MHM Ashrap Memorial Kandy District National Forum organized M. Seeba Central Division and M. Seeba won second place in the National Speech Competition.
  • On 24.01.2003 MS. Abdul Salam took charge as the Principal.
  • In 2005, 9 out of 34 people passed the G.B.E. High Level Examination, in 2006 out of 30 out of 5 people out of 2007 and out of 43 out of 4 in 2008; 37 people appeared for the exam and 6 people in 2009; All 37 were selected for the university and created a historic record.
  • In 2008, F. Halita Hasna scored 9A Siddhis in the B.Sc Ordinary Level Examination.
  • In 2009, M. Rikasa A. Asmita scored 08A 01B Siddhis in G.P.D Ordinary Level Examination.
  • 2010 AA in G.B.C. Fatima Nuskia9A Siddhi also MF. Fatima Sumayya also received 08A Siddhi.
  • In 2010, 33 people passed out and 03 people were selected for university.
  • On 03.07.2011 MS.Abdul Salam Principal retired.
  • 04.07.2011 Mrs. Hajiani NHM. Siddique took over as the principal.
  • In 2011, 10 students passed the 5th year scholarship examination and this school got 5th place in Nindavoor division in achievement zone.
  •  In 2011; N. Fatima Nubla passed the G.P.D. Ordinary Level Examination.
  •  In 2011, 37 students passed the G.E.C. High Level Examination and 04 students were selected for university.
  •  In 2011 Provincial Level Milad Nabi Festival Competition Short Story; Section 4; Su. Fatima Rusaika finished third and bagged the bronze medal.
  •  2011 Social Science Competition b. Munassaratul Heezma bagged second place in nationals.
  •  In 2012, M. Fatima Rusaikka won the silver medal in the fourth category of short story composition in the provincial level Tamil competition.
  •  In 2012 M.Fatima Athipamagana got silver medal in maths quiz competition and participated and got certificate at national level.
  • KF in Social Science Competition in 2012. Risna achieved the first rank nationally and created a record.
  • In 2012 in DO YOU KNOW CONTEST, M. Munassaratul Hushma, Ah. Sasni Horlick furthered the school's pride by winning first place for the Eastern Province nationally.
  • At the end of 2012, the main entrance door was gifted to our school with the financial help of HAIRU ENGINEER CONSTRUCTION (PVT) LTD Managing Director Al Haj ZM.HAIRU (Sh. 105000).
  • Present Honorable Deputy Minister of Health mc. Faisal Qasim donated Rs.200 000 worth of office furniture and classroom furniture and former Hon'ble Minister of State for Health mb. 100 000 under the 2012 Diversified Budget Fund allocation for the construction of the main gate by Hasan Ali.
  • In the 2012 K.P.D. examination, 10 out of 20 people were selected for the university in the Art and Commerce section, and our school has taken pride in winning the first place in the region.
  •  On 10.01.2012, 52 students and 07 teachers met former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Alari House and undertook a field trip to present the needs of the school. Anna has provided many useful books for the school library. J.Mursitha Sherin, S.Fathima Hamna got 9 Siddhis and more than 9A students also got excellent Siddhis in the ordinary examination.
  •  Representing Amparai District. Malalakoota block construction was done by DMC, a risk management and disaster protection company.
  •  2013.09.05 Construction work of two-storey building started under Eastern Province Integrated Development Grant of three-storey administrative building block.

  • In the Ayalayavarada Grath competition, they won the first place in the senior category at the provincial level and were selected for the national level.
  • In the 2013 scholarship examination 08 students scored above the cut-off mark and stood first in the divisional level.
  •  2013 Sinhala Day Competition S.Fathima Suaadha of grade 6 was selected at national level in speech competition.

  • MF in 2013 G.B.D Ordinary Level Exam. It is noteworthy that Fathima Nifla got 9A Siddhi and MN Fathima Maheesa, Ah Fathima Shasni Harlik, MM Munassarathul Heesma got 8 A 1 C.
  • In the 2014 G.B.D. High Level Examination, 20 students passed the Arts and Commerce section and three were selected for the College of Arts.(Commerce – RF. Rajee 2A 1B)
  • 2014 All Sri Lankan Tamil Day Competition A.M. of Grade 11 Naleema won national level short drama competition.
  •  2014 Sinhala Day Speech Competition S.Fathima Suaadha won second place at provincial level.
  • In 2014, AC Fathima Sumaiya Ilmy scored 193 marks in the 5th academic examination and became the first in the district and brought pride to our school.
  •  Honorable Provincial Council Member Barrister Aariff Samsudeen provided a financial assistance of Rs 40000 from his multi-budget fund for painting the front wall.
  • Under the auspices of Hon'ble Deputy Minister MC Faizal Cassim, a scheme of Rs.1000000 was allocated to the village for the reconstruction of a two-storied block of IT Lab building.
  • The three-storied administrative building block was completed under the Eastern Province Special Development Grant and was inaugurated by the former Honorable Governor of the Eastern Province, Rear Admiral Mohan Vijayawickrama. This was done with the participation of Eastern Provincial Director of Education Alhaj MTA Nisam and former opposition leader of Nindaur Pradeshiya Sabha Y.L Sulaima Lebbe JP.

  • Company Director AL-Haj.A. Multi Media Unit was established in Germany by Exilio Vinari with the help of Nazeer Ahamed.
  • In 2015, correction, painting and beautification of building blocks 1 and 2 were carried out by parents of grade 1 students who received permission. The canteen and water tank were reconstructed under PSI funds and the library and auditorium were painted and beautified.
  • Marhoom Prof. by former Local Government Provincial Councils Minister AL-Haj ALM.Athaullah MP. MHM Ashraff Memorial Auditorium was reconstructed under a fund of Rs.2000000.
  •  MH Hasna Hameed, K. Sahrath Sasni, MN Fathima Nufla have secured 9A merit and SM Minhath Hazeema 8A 1B merit has brought pride to our school in the year 2014.

  •  In the year 2015, 11 female students scored above the cut-off mark in the 5th grade scholarship and secured first position at the division level. The school secured the third position at the zone level.
  • A Ronio machine was gifted  to the school by former retired principal Mrs. Maimuna Cheinulabuddin  .
  • In the 2016 Grade 5 Scholarship Award, IT students scored above the cutoff mark and the school bagged 1st position in the division and 2nd position in the zone. Provincial Education Director Al-Hajj MTA. Under the Nizam Sir's special appropriation of Rs. 400000, band instruments and uniforms worth Rs. Member of Parliament and Minister of Sports Hon'ble HMM. Haris' financial allocation of Rs. 50000 worth of furniture was provided. Our school band was officially introduced for the first time. The event was ceremonially organised. MAM, Member of Pradeshiya Sabha and President of MASS Foundation. 100 listeners were also gifted by Tahir, Rays, shoes for the students, books for the library and electric water cooler (for the office). 
  •  Under the Eastern Provincial Council's financial allocation under the recent School Better School Program scheme, a sum of Rs. 2 million has been allocated. 2nd Level Science Laboratory Funds allocated for Technology Unit with Library. The Dental Treatment Unit was inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine. AT won the gold medal for Environment Corporation. Umama, I. Ifasa, MT Fathima Thaskeefa, 3 students got it. National Level Milatun Nabi Day English Essay Competition MM. Sirat Ala got 3rd position. National Level Miladun Nabi Day Essay Competition AC. Sumaiya Ilmi bagged 1st rank. A. Fatima Satira got 2nd place in Essay Drawing and A. Fatima Saspa got 3rd place in Poetry Writing in Provincial Level Tamil Day Competition.
  • 2016.03.02 - The groundbreaking ceremony for the building with 12 classroom blocks to be constructed with the financial assistance of the United States Pacific Regional Command (USPACOM) was held by the United States Humanitarian Asst Project Branch Chief Mr. Lany Phyfe and Eastern Province Chief Minister Hon. This event was witnessed by Naseer Ahamed and his superiors.
  • 2017.01.01 - According to the status order 50, permission was given by the Secretary of the Ministry of Education of Eastern Province to start the class of G.P.D. The quality has been raised. 
  • 2017.01.24 : Hajiani NUHM. President Siddiqui got them transferred.
  • 2017.01.25 : Janab, who served as the vice-principal of this school as the 10th principal. AL. Nizamuddin took charge as Acting Principal and then assumed his post as Principal on 08.02.2017. Under the five-year project 'Elegant Classroom' for primary students, the beautification of classrooms and furniture to encourage the academic performance of female students has been initiated under the arrangement of parents. Advanced science department was started with 7 students. Inter-Zone Encyclopaedia Competition Grade 11 school team competed against Akkaraipattu Zone in the finals and secured 1st position.
  • 2018.06.18/19 Eastern Province Schools' Environmental Pioneer Training was held at Basarai Madd/Chaturak Kinnil and 16 students participated in it. In the Educaon for social Cohesion Symposium organized by the Eastern Province Education Department at Mr / Hill Vivekananda College, AS. Mariyam, MR. Fathima Ziyasath Mifra attended. 
  • 2019 Ministry of Education under the concept of "Opening to the dead time, the bridge to the future" as part of the recent school best school project, the books and furniture needed for the school were received at a cost of 2060000.
  • 2019.02.12 A three-storey building, modern toilet, cafeteria, flower garden water collection facilities constructed with the financial assistance of the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) was inaugurated. Governor Dr. MLAM. Hizbullah and the Minister of Health, Secretary of Education, Provincial Education were the guests of honor on this occasion. Director, Zonal Education Director and many dignitaries were also present.
  • 2019.07.03 Mathematical Science Research Center under “Near School Best School” Development Program Hon'ble Minister of State for Health Education and Indigenous Medicine MC. Inaugurated by Faisal Qasim.
  • 2019.10.10 30 female students have achieved the environmental pioneer silver medal and 21 female students have achieved the green medal. District Level English Poetry Competition MR. Fathima Ziyasath Mifra bagged the first position. In order to modernize the learning facility in the school, Smart Class Room was established.
  • 2020 Under the School Physical Environment Improvement Program, Engineer Janab MS. Chakki Aghamad has been beautified with stone paving at a cost of around 2.5 million rupees.
  • 2022.11.17 A student named Hasan Qudoos Aisha Hasnath of Grade-5 participated in Sri Lankan short story writing competition and got 3rd place and was honored at TEAIur. 16 students scored above the cut-off mark in the grade-5 scholarship examination topping the category.

    Our school student parliamentary election-2020 was very specially held recently to proof the government. Now students voted on democratic basis and elected 90 members of parliament.
    Applications for 10 ministries and 10 deputy ministers were requested from 90 later elected parliament. During this, students had applied for ministry positions. Members of the school student parliament administrative committee submitted applications according to the statistics policies and ministry positions were given to the ministries they were applicable based on the priority regulations of the points.

  • 2024.07.08 Appreciation at Nindavur Mazhar for the gold-winning students 

At the Muslim Cultural Open Community Drama Competition held at Kaathankudi Muslim Central College (06.07.2024), Nindavur Al-Mazhar Women's High School won first place and was awarded the gold medal. An event to appreciate and honour the students who participated in this drama competition, their trainer, teachers, and the cultural team was held under the leadership of the school's principal A.C. Hamid on 08.07.2024 at the school's auditorium. Chief guest of the event was the school's coordinator and the assistant educational officer of the nursery schools, M.A.M. Raseen, head of Nindavur Grand Mosque.

At the National Level Cultural 2024 Drama Competition held today at Colombo Sahara College, Nindavur KM/KM/Al-Mazhar Girls' High School secured second place and made history.   • At the National Education Institute, from 15th to 18th August 2024, the National Circle Leader - 2024

was held in Makarakavam. Seven circle leaders from Nindavur Km/km/Al-Mazhar Girls High Secondary School participated in the Presidential Medal Circle Leader event: SF Zainie, MF Zimtha Zaini, MIF Shahina Shimar, AM Hasmath Shefa, MIF Yasmin, MJF Thikra, M. Atheera Iyman. Among them, the circle-friendly new creations of students MF Zimtha Saini (Eco Straw) and SF Fathima Zainie (Eco Paper) were selected for the exhibition. It is noteworthy that the Nindavur Al-Mashar Girls Higher Secondary School secured two out of the three national positions.

MM. Madheeha, a student of Grade 8 at Al-Mazhar Girls' High School, recently participated in the provincial level social science competition held at Carmel fadhima College, Kalmunai, and has been selected from the Kalmunai education zone for all Sri Lanka/national level social science competition. Among the eight students selected from the Kalmunai education zone, MM. Madheeha from our school is included. The fact that this student was the only one selected from Nintavur division is a significant achievement.
